Never had a real relationship before so, even though I'm now not yet ready, do you think I should act on my impulses and date a guy one day?

Nahh there’s no single golden rule here I suppose. You say that you are not ready for a relationship, but it seems that you are in fact longing to be involved in one already. And I won’t say never act on impulse, because sometimes you just need that little bit of impulse to figure your way to something bigger. Meet the right person and go for it if you may. Good luck.
